OVERVIEW
When a learning experience is light hearted and makes them joke and laugh, students don’t see it as a chore and would willingly come back to a fun experience.
A fun environment also lowers the stakes, as students should learn that perfectionism is never the goal. We all make mistakes and learn and get better

Do not make the learning goal explicit right away

- There is stigma against educational games/anything a teacher or parent wants them to do
- Students need a mental break from the constant schoolwork and grade oriented mindset

- Students need to reframe setbacks and failures as a stepping stone to success
- Providing different avenues and choice to succeed + safety net from failing
- It’s important that students not getting good grades aren’t less respected
